The Great American Songbook - ON RADIO!!
01.01.2023
I want to personally thank ALL of the tremendous radio stations throughout the world that have played music from my debut CD. Radio promotion was performed by Kari-On Productions and she did a WONDERFUL job getting it into the hands of so many radio programmers. The album was the 2nd Most-Added album for its week of release in JazzWeek and Most-Added on both the NACC and RMR Charts. It peaked at #14 on the RMR Jazz Album Charts and "One for My Baby" held at #1 in the country for 5 weeks on the Top Crossover Jazz Song Chart. I AM HUMBLED and truly look forward to what the future holds. I have also created an all-new show called "Erich Cawalla Presents The Music of Sinatra, Bennett, Darin, and More"! The show is currently booked at some wonderful venues in 2023 including the Jazz Upstairs Series at Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown PA, The West Shore Theatre in New Cumberland PA, and the Cape May Music Festival. Check out my tour dates page for all public shows.

A LIFELONG DREAM REALIZED!!! PHILLIES!
07.27.2022
When I was a child, my sister Julie I lived at my grandparents' house right across our street due to my parents working 2nd shift at AT&T. During this time, I developed a HUGE love of Philly sports thanks to my grandfather's love of it. John Ecenrode (Poppy) played baseball and softball most of his life and he wanted to make sure that his only grandson became just as big of a Phillies fan as he was. Because of this, one of my lifelong dreams was to perform our National Anthem at the Philadelphia Phillies game and on July 27, 2022, I had the opportunity to realize this dream. I cannot adequately express how amazing it felt to play my saxophone at Citizen's Bank Park. The Phillies began an amazing win-streak after my performing and I like to think that they made The World Series because of my Yamaha Alto Sax!!! (I can dream!)
Here is video of this lifelong dream:

CD RELEASE CONCERT-WOW!!!
03.30.2022
After 2 years of frustration and over 6 years, I was able to FINALLY have a CD Release Concert!!! On March 30th, I was humbled by almost 700 of my fans and friends that gathered at my Alma Mater, Governor Mifflin Senior High School, to perform the songs off of my debut album "Erich Cawalla - The Great American Songbook". The show featured a 26 All-Star Big Band and Orchestra and was a moment I will NEVER forget for the rest of my life. So much has happened in the past 2 years including many of my mentors passing away including my arranger, Dave DePalma, who left us unexpectedly in September 2021 due to fast-moving pancreatic cancer. I was able to play parts of the CD to Dave about 30 minutes before he left this world and I trust that he heard his wonderful arrangements on more time. What a night---FINALLY!!!! I cannot accurately describe how wonderful the night felt. THANK YOU to all of my many friends and fans that supported me on this special night. I will be performing the show again with my 17-Piece All-Star Big Band at the Ware Center in Lancaster on April 29th. I hope you will join us! The album will be released nationally on May 9th via Atlanta-based Kari-On Productions.. There are lots of great things on the horizon and I look forward to the next step. LOVE ALL OF YOU!!
ERICH BUYS SPYRO'S MODERN MUSIC
04.27.2022
While recording my debut album "Erich Cawalla - The Great American Songbook", I absolutely fell in LOVE with Spyro's Modern Music located in my hometown of Reading, PA. Constructed by Spyro Sbilis, it is one of the most-unique studios in the United States and has many stars record and rehearse inside its walls. 2023 is a year of re-branding for the studio complex located at 3400 Kutztown Road in Reading. Now named Spyro's Modern Music by Erich Cawalla featuring Boom! Camp Studios, we have retained Spyro as our Engineer. Boom! Camp Studios is owned by my producer-extraordinaire Bennie Sims who serves as our mixing and mastering specialist. I envision a center that gets back to the basics of teaching and serves as a major venue to educate all levels of musicians from Beginner to Advanced in our 5 separate teaching studios. Audio Recording, Video Recording, Rehearsal Space, Photography, and Meeting Space are just a few of the many uses of this One-of-a-Kind facility. For more information, check out our Facebook page and contact us at erichcawalla@comcast.net for all inquiries.

What can any of us possibly say about 2020 except it's been a year of reinvention and unfortunately, the loss of many loved ones. In the midst of a year, three of my musical mentors passed away including Bobby Mercer, Tony Kurdilla, and in January 2021, Robert "Doc" Mulligan. My Great Aunt Josie and my father's Godmother/Grandmother's Cousin Kathryn passed away as well. I really have never dealt with so much loss in one year. On top of that, the entertainment industry has come to a standstill for almost a year. However, WE WILL ENDURE and we will come out of this as hopefully better human beings. I was set to release my debut CD on March 25, 2020 featuring a 26-Piece Big Band and Orchestra, but that date is currently on hold. I am hoping to release it in Fall 2021 but if not, we will look to early 2022. For those of you that purchased tickets, THANK YOU! These tickets will absolutely be honored when the concert is finally set. I will continue to post updates on my website and Facebook page at Erich Cawalla Music....ONE DAY AT A TIME!!! Let's get through this and keep making good music. STAY SAFE!!!!!! Yours Truly, Erich Cawalla
